In This Issue:

Are You Eating Too Much Sugar?

Cutting sugar from your diet is quite trendy these days. Many dieters even go so far as to proudly proclaim that they have "stopped eating sugar" all together. Well, in reality that probably isn't even possible. They naively think that cutting out cake, cookies and candy means that they are no longer eating sugar.

But, sugar is practically everywhere. Do you know how much you are consuming?

How To Apply A Wood Finish

When you finish a woodworking project, you should try to stain your wood as soon as possible to get the best finish you can. If you wait, your piece has a larger chance to become damaged by scratches...

When Does School Start?

The kids have been out of school for weeks now. You're lying in your hammock with a gentle summer breeze softly cooling you and the sweet smell of summer flowers fills the air. Yeah, Right! Reality check! You have probably heard "I'm bored. I have nothing to do" a hundred times today!

March the kids to the kitchen (there may be some resistance but you will prevail) and try these recipes. Who knows? Between these and a small miracle you might just get to swing in the hammock yet. (But then again, probably not!)

Q: Debate: Evolution/Big Bang Theory

I'm sure there must be people on here who believe in the big bang theory. Personally I don't agree with it all, and I'm just interested as to why people believe in it.

=========READERS'  TIPS=========

Cleaning Idea
by Tamara B.

I use hydrogen peroxide on "protein" stains (grass, blood, hairballs from cats). I keep a small spray bottle full and use it full strength when I must clean up after a hairball (such a pleasant experience). I clean as much as possible with paper towels, throw it away then saturate the stain with peroxide, let it sit for several minutes then blot with a thirsty cleaning towel with pressure. For larger stains where it's soaked deeper into the carpet it may take a second cleaning.  I've even forgotten to come back and blot after soaking, and the stain was gone.

Peroxide is so inexpensive ... hope this will be helpful.
