Understanding Holistic Health

Every thought and emotion affects your health. A holistic health approach encompasses treating the whole person: the body, mind, emotions and spirit. Traditional cultures have known for thousands of years that these aspects are intimately connected. Every food we eat, every thought we entertain, every emotion we feel and every interaction we experience impacts overall health.

==========PT FORUM & READERS QUESTIONS==========

Q: I'm having trouble removing vegetable and olive oil from the dishes they were used in (measuring cups, baking sheets, frying pans). I wash them in the hottest water I can stand, with soap, and they don't get clean.

Any suggestions?  It would have to be by hand; I don't have a dishwasher and can't get one; there isn't the space or a hookup in my apartment.  And the water where I live is very hard, which may be a contributing factor.

=========READERS'  TIPS=========

For The Birds
by Diane Morgan, St Josepsh Mo.

Birds love eggshells, and it's nutritious for them, too. When you use an egg, place it back in the container. When you've got the whole dozen used up, crush them, place on a plate and microwave (to clean and kill bacteria). Then just mix in with purchased bird seed....and of course it's a great way to recycle, too!
